I think I had forgotten about what true R&B music sounded like until I heard this song. As I was born in the 90's I grew up listening to a lot of old school R&B singers such as Aaliyah and Destiny's Child etc and Kemi reminds me of a mix between Brandy and Keyshia Cole. So much talent just waiting to be unleashed, which I am sure you will be able to tell from this video.

 

I first met Kemi during my second year of university when I was planning one of my open mic nights. Kemi actually performed a couple of songs on the night which was when I first head her sing and I was

b l o w n away. It's a different thing when someone tells you that they can sing from when you actually hear it for yourself, puts everything into perspective.

 

You know talent when you can write, sing and produce a song and then compose the video to showcase your talents. I'm sure its a song that any girl can relate to, especially myself lol. The calm tone of her voice will keep you fiaxted throughout the whole track and make you want to put it on repeat.
