Open Mic Night [1]

My first ever event that I done, alongside two of my university friends (Sophia & Stacey).

On the 28.04.13 we held an open mic night at D'Kalabash Bar in Coventry (which has sadly now closed down). The night consisted of poets, spoken word, singers etc.

Between the three of us it took around 2-3 weeks to plan it and put it all together, from the venue, to the performers to even the scheduling of the night. As it was out first event, you can imagine the difficulties we had of find people to even getting the equipment for the night. But in the end it was a very succesful nightt. The only downfall was that the camera that we used to film the night didnt record the sound so we have all that wasted footage :(

The poster above was something that I designed on Word (Yay Me!) and even created matching tickets which were sold in advance for £2 and on the door for £3.
