Valentine's Day

So Valentine's Day is a week away now, so for those of you that do celebrate it...panic no more as I have devised a list of 10 things that you can do or even make with/for your loved ones. Everything can be suited to adapt to everyone's budget, you can do one of the activities or mix and match to make a fun filled day (in no particular order).

1. Massage

Most hotels that have a spa facilitiy come with the treatments for massages. Now you book this to enjoy by yourself or to make it more romantic (and if the spa allows it) why not turn it into a couples treatment where you can lay down side by side and enjoy the treatment at the same time? You can find many of these deals on spabreaks.com to suit different locations.

2. First Date

If you are one of those couples that had a special first date then why not reenact that first time you spent together. Okay maybe you won't be able to go to the exact same place or do the exact same thing but use your imagination to recreate the scene again and make it extra special. It is a great chance to reminisce on the old/good times and look forward to many more.

3. Night away

Sometimes its nice to do something different to the every day things that you do at home, so why not spice things up and book a night away somewhere. This can be a hotel or private house or anywhere of your choosing, just make sure it's the two of you and you dont have to share it with anyone else. This way you can relax, enjoy room service and no one has to worry about cleaning up in the moring.

4. Dress up

If the plan is to stay in and have a romantic night together then spice things up by dressing up. For the ladiescyou can buy or wear some new lingerie or go the extra stuff further and buy fancy dress such as a nurse etc. Men you can do the same thing buy some new underwear, dress up as a fireman...anything that you like (and what you think your partner will like aswell). There's no harm in trying something new after all.

5. Physical Activities

Well you can take this to mean whatever you like... however what I had in mind were doing things like ice-skating or going to an amusement park. Or depending on your location in the world, jet skiing near the beach, a boat trip etc. Try something that is exciting and gets your adrenaline running that will keep your hearts pumping until you reach back home...

6. Cook Dinner

Doing something together doesn't have to be big or extravagant. Keep it simple by cooking a romantic meal for the both of you. Add rose petals/flowers/candles to set the scene. There's nothing more than being made to feel extra special. Wine and dine your partner with love and affection and of course wine itself!

7. Tickets

Buy tickets to a show to get out of the house. It can be a ticket to absolutely anything. If you wanted to keep in the theme of valentines day then go and see a burlesque or cabaret show. If you just wanted to go and do something completely different then book tickets to go and see the opera or a musical at the theatre. There's always something on to go and see so you won't be short of choices.

8. Holiday

If you both really wanted to do something different then why not book a quick getaway for the weekend? It could be somewhere local or somewhere overseas that's not too far to travel too. Doesn't have to break the bank either, there are many good deals that you can choose from.

9. Make a voucherbook

I have actually made a voucher book before and it's a lot easier than you might think at first. All I did was go onto google and found a voucher template - put it into word and made up different voucher ideas such as a kiss, hug or massage, try and make as many different choices to choose from and then as you would with a voucher they can pick an choose when and what they want to use (if youre smart, remember to write an expiry date on it so they can use it in like 5 years time!) It is a quick and easy present to make for anyone.

10. Stay Indoors

Sometimes the nicest and best thing you can do is stay at home - just the two of you. Have kids? Send them to a babysitter! Have pets? Put them somewhere out of sight. Enjoy eachothers company and get to know eachother all over again. After the weekend is over its like you would have fell inlove with the person all over again.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
