Boston Tea Party
14th September 2015
It's settled. Food is definitely my new best friend! I love going to new places and restaurants and trying what they have on offer. One of the places I have tried is the Boston Tea Party cafe in Birmingham (190 Corporation St, Birmingham, B4 6QD). Not only is there one in Birmingham but the cafes are located in Barnstaple, Bath, Bristol, Cheltenham, Exeter, Harborne, Honiton, Moseley, Plymouth, Ringwood, Salisbury and Worcester. I came to the the Birmingham Cafe on a sunday morning for brunch after a night out with two of my best friends - well deserved!

The cafe has a very warm homely feel as soon as you walk in, it was quite busy the sunday morning that we arrived that they had to place us on a large table with another group to be seated. The menus are written on what looked like recycled paper (the company are very eco-friendly) and were placed on a wooden clippboard, which I thought was very cute and unique. To start of with we ordered some drinks that were served in cute jam tumbler jars with handles. I ordered a Red Berry Ice Tea (£2.25), and the girls got Old Fashion Fresh Lemonade, (£2.75). I also ordered a pot of Peppermint Tea (£2.10) as I was going through a phase of drinking herbal tea and Peppermint taste lovely and my friend ordered an Organic Chai Tea (£2.30).

Once you are ready to order you have to take note of the table you are sitting on and go to the bar to make your order. After much deliberation I decided to order Scrambled eggs on Toast (£4.50) with added Portobello Mushrooms (+£2). The girls ordered Smoked Salmon, Scrambled Eggs and Avocado on Sourdough Toast (£7.50) and West Country Breakfast which included Bacon, Sausage, Scrambled Egg (which was swapped for a fried egg), Roasted Tomoatoes (which was swapped for Avocado), Baked Beans and Toast.
The food was absolutely delicious, and very filling - so much that I didn't even get a chance to finish it :( but everything looked, smelt and tasted divine. It was a well deserved meal that was needed after recovering from a night out. The atmosphere of the cafe is lovely and the staff were friendly and accomodating which helped you enjoy your stay even more.

Everything that Boston Tea Party serve is made on site from scratch, they use free range meat and eggs. The salad leaves are grown in Bristol by the Severn Project and the breads are the award winning Hobbs House Bakery and are top 3 star rated SRA member.
