Hilton London Croydon
I feel like half of my life is living in a hotel but I guess it's all part of the experience. One of my conquests was Hilton London Croydon which as you can probably tell by the name is located on 101 Waddon Way, Purley Way, Croydon, CR9 4HH. I stayed here on one of my many weekends away.
I chose this hotel because I like the look of this hotel and because Hilton has a high reputation I had high expectations. Also, I am part of the Hilton Honours group so I do get some great discounts when booking. I also like to enjoy a lie-in and have late checkout which hilton provided free of charge, so thats always a bonus!

At check in I was able to request my late checkout free of charge, which is always a plus for me as I hate waking up any earlier than I have to.
I had booked a deluxe double room - which has slightly bigger bedroom space, free water and snacks. The snacks that I was provided with was a jar of mixed nuts which was a pleasant surprise. I also had the choice of sparkling and still water. On the same table was a welcome card from the manager. It was probably a generalised note that they just changed the name to suit the guest however I still thought it was a nice touch for them to do so.
The bed was very minimalistic, white sheets and pillowcases. Which is what I prefer sometimes, the room can look small and crowded when the bed has fancy patterns and decorations. Then therewere thestandard amenities; tv, tea & coffee facilities and a hairdryer. On the other side of the room was the wardrobe with a small vanity area on the side.
I thought this was a really cute idea as it's an ideal place for the ladies to set up their hair and make-up and a very accesible place to plug in straighteners or curlers as there was a plug underneath the mirror.
The bathroom wasn't all that I had imagined it to be. Even though everything was in white it still looked old and dainty. The tiles looked tatty and discoloured and as though they had tried to replace thembut it didn't match.
However, I guess thi could be seen as minor details as everything inside the bathroom worked perfectly fine. There were a selection of toiletries on the side to use complimentary.
Overall, my stay was very pleasant and if I had to stay in the area again then this hotel would be an option for sure.
